Looking for an Android app that will watch bitcoin addresses and notify me when any incoming/outgoing TXs reach a certain number of confirmations? For example, I could add my exchange deposit address and it would notify me when the required number of confirmations are reached. Any suggestions?
Bitcoin is Fundamentally Flawed, Watch and let me know your thoughts, i am a long time bitcoiner, i have held BTC since 2013 and i don't think anyone is addressing any of the real issues we face in this space, i want to know what are other peoples suggestions for scaling, how do you think we grow?
Idea: make a lock that unlocks when a certain amount of bitcoin is paid to an address it is set to watch. This could enable efficient stores, just pay and go.
As above. I could see something like this being built into a number of potential scenario, especially vending machines and stores like corner minimarts. Maybe you could build a lock such that it only opens when bitcoin is sent out of a certain address too, allowing a specific person to open that lock. And of course you could send bitcoin from that address to yourself, so it wouldn't cost anything at all. Free idea if anyone finds it compelling, feel free. Edit: A term has been developed: blockchain-aware devices. Meaning any device that does function X when bitcoin is either sent to an address(es) it watches, or is sent out of an address(es). Start your car by sending a satoshi out of X, unlock your house, make a garage door roll up, etc., etc., etc.
Is there any interest and taking the popcorn-time source code and putting a Dark Wallet on top of it so that it costs 1 satoshi to watch a video? Each video would have it's own Bitcoin address, and then the money would be given to the creators, to show them the power of this.
Dark Wallet would be used so that they couldn't trace back from where the bitcoin was coming. The e-mail address of the creators would be put into the system and our modified source code would only send them the keys with information on how to access and track the money. EDIT: SwedFTP made a Github discussion board about implementing these features, check it out here. https://github.com/popcorn-official/popcorn-app/wiki/Proposed-Features
Bitcoin looks better than other currencies. BSV pampers came to the aid of the introduction of Paymail, the system will replace the 32-character network wallet addresses with names. Tool for creating QR codes for my business invoices?
I run a civil engineering business in the US, and have been including a note on my invoices that I accept crypto and there's a 10% discount if they pay in crypto. Unsurprisingly, I've had no takers (since 2013!) I'm thinking maybe it'd be a good idea to include a QR code on each invoice, a payment QR code to a wallet, in the amount of 10% less than the invoice. The QR code would provide visibility (no one reads fine print) and if someone scans it it would take them to the edge of the crypto rabbit hole. Is there a good tool for doing this? I imagine the wallet for the code would have to be a BTC wallet, but if they called me and wanted to pay in some other currency, I could set it up. The tool would need to run on PC, since I create my invoices in Excel.
I've developed Moon Rekt, a portfolio tracker with a Bitcoin "address watch" feature. It can be used on any device, and it is completely free for the community. Give it a try or take a look at the screenshots.
Coinstacks for Android - Keep track of all your Bitcoin in one spot with Exchange APIs and Watch Addresses
Hey Everyone, I wrote an app that can help you keep track of all your Bitcoin in one spot, using watch addresses and exchange APIs It's open source, and all the network calls happen directly between the phone and the exchanges/explorer (blockexplorer.com for Bitcoin). The app does not collect or report on any crypto information. It currently supports Bitfinex, Bitsamp, CEX.IO, GDAX, Gemini and QuadrigaCX I can add others fairly easily, even with API authentication, so if this seems like something you'd like to use, I can add it if you let me know. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nebulights.coinstacks https://github.com/babramovitch/CoinStacks Let me know what you think!
